Where to Watch Wednesday Season 2: Netflix Release Guide

1 min readBy Editorial Team
Last updated:

Wednesday is Netflix's most-watched English-language original series of all time, with Wednesday Addams cementing Jenna Ortega as a generational star and Tim Burton's gothic Nevermore Academy as essential streaming real estate. Season 2 dropped in two parts during 2025 — Part 1 in August, Part 2 in September — bringing back Ortega alongside new cast members including Steve Buscemi as Nevermore's new principal. Here's everything you need to stream Season 2 and binge Season 1 again.

Streaming Availability

Wednesday Season 2 streams exclusively on Netflix worldwide. Both Part 1 (4 episodes) and Part 2 (4 episodes) of Season 2 are available now alongside the complete 8-episode Season 1. Season 3 has been officially confirmed and is expected in 2027.

Netflix pricing as of 2026:

  • Standard with Ads: $6.99/month
  • Standard: $15.49/month
  • Premium (4K HDR + 4 streams): $22.99/month

The Premium tier is recommended for Wednesday Season 2 specifically — Tim Burton's cinematography and Burton/Ortega's stylized color palette make a noticeable difference in 4K HDR.

How to Watch Free

Netflix has eliminated free trials in the US and most international markets. The cheapest legal access remains the $6.99/month ad-supported tier — comfortably enough to binge all 16 Wednesday episodes in a single weekend. T-Mobile and Verizon's higher-tier wireless plans sometimes include Netflix as a perk; verify your account before paying.

Buy or Rent

Wednesday is not available to buy or rent on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, or Vudu. As a Netflix Original, it remains exclusive to the platform with no plans for episode-by-episode sale.

Is It Worth Watching?

Yes. Season 2 holds Wednesday's distinct mix of Tim Burton gothic visuals, sharp YA mystery plotting, and Jenna Ortega's deadpan-perfection performance. Steve Buscemi is delightful as Principal Dort. Some episodes lean harder into musical-numbery flourishes than purists expected, but the show remains the best Burton vehicle in years and the rare Netflix YA hit that actually deserves its viewership.

Related Shows

If you love Wednesday, queue up:

  • The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values (1993) — the Sonnenfeld films that established the family's modern personality
  • Stranger Things (Netflix) — comparable Netflix Original gothic-adjacent YA
  • Nevermore: A Wednesday Spinoff (announced for 2027)

A Fire TV Stick 4K Max is the easiest way to add Netflix in 4K HDR to any older television.
